It is the belief of Nehemiah Teams International, that construction oriented short-term missions should be more than a program placed on a calendar of events. It is our desire that through the process of dedicated preparation, discipleship, and biblical living, short-term mission trips will provide an opportunity to serve the local church and God’s people.   So that each participant will begin to see the world as God sees the world. It is our desire that missions become a frame of mind and of living, rather than a yearly event and a title in the budget. We serve a missionary God and short-term mission trips allow us to be taken out of our comfort zones.  Then we can re-evaluate how we live and experience all that God has for his people with a heart for service and obedience in the world around us.
